COVID 19 Update – Visa Service
As of 13 September, short-stay visas are again being processed. All COVID-19 restrictions on entry visa and preclearance processing have therefore been lifted as of that date. This is in line with the next phase of Government response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Travellers arriving into Ireland must continue to comply fully with all public health measures. For further information, please see the website of Immigration Service Delivery.
Travel restrictions remain in place to protect public health and to mitigate the risk of new variants of COVID-19 entering the country.
You should read the latest Government advice and rules for international travel during the COVID-19 pandemic before travelling to Ireland:
We draw your attention to the fact that COVID-19 restrictions are severely affecting visa processing times. Once a decision has been made on your application, you will be contacted directly. In order to ensure that resources can be used to best effect, we ask that you do not contact the Embassy to seek updates on your application.
