Consul général d'Irlande à Lyon Ciara de Mora et vice-consul Artur Sirbu.
L'ouverture d'un consulat général d'Irlande à Lyon le 19 septembre renforce l’engagement de l’Irlande envers sa relation bilatérale avec la France. Le nouveau consulat général représentera les intérêts irlandais dans les régions Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes et Bourgogne-Franche-Comté et jouera un rôle important dans le renforcement des liens politiques, commerciaux et culturels entre la France et l'Irlande. Le consulat travaillera aux côtés du bureau Lyonnais de Enterprise Ireland ainsi que des autres agences de développement de l'État irlandais présentes en France : Bord Bia, Tourism Ireland et IDA-Ireland.
L'ouverture d'un consulat à Lyon était un engagement clé pris par l'Irlande dans le Plan d'action conjoint France-Irlande, signé lors de la visite du président Macron en Irlande en 2021. Le plan propose une série de nouvelles initiatives visant à renforcer la coopération entre l'Irlande et la France et démontre la force durable de la relation bilatérale. Une cérémonie d'ouverture officielle du consulat général suivra plus tard dans l'année.
Le Consulat général d'Irlande à Lyon apportera renforcera la relation entre l’Irlande et le sud et l'est de la France. Il s'appuiera sur le travail important mené par notre ancien Consul honoraire à Lyon, M Bruno Boccard. Ciara de Mora a été nommée consule générale Ciara de Mora. Elle sera soutenue par Artur Sirbu, vice-consul.
The opening of a Consulate General of Ireland in Lyon on 19 September 2022 marks a considerable expansion in Ireland’s engagement with France. The new Consulate General will represent Irish interests in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Bourgogne-Franche-Comté regions and play an important role in strengthening political, commercial and cultural ties between France and Ireland. It will work alongside the existing Enterprise Ireland trade promotion office in Lyon as well as the other Irish state development agencies present in France: Bord Bia, Tourism Ireland and IDA-Ireland.
The opening of a Consulate General in Lyon was a key commitment made by Ireland in the France-Ireland Joint Plan of Action, signed during President Macron’s visit to Ireland in 2021. The Plan outlines a range of new initiatives to strengthen cooperation between Ireland and France and demonstrates the enduring strength of the bilateral relationship. A formal opening ceremony for the Consulate General will follow later this year.
The Consulate General of Ireland in Lyon will bringing a new strength and depth to the France-Ireland relationship in southern and eastern France. It will build on the considerable work of our former Honorary Consul in Lyon, Mr Bruno Boccard. The new mission will be led by Consul General Ciara de Mora, supported by Vice Consul Artur Sirbu.
