“1918 and the End of Empires” re-scheduled!

Due to issues with airline connections the lecture “1918 and the End of Empires” by Robert Gerwarth, Professor of Modern History at University College Dublin and Director of UCD’s Centre for War Studies which had been scheduled for 8 October has now been rescheduled to take place in the week of 25 May 2020. Exact date and time will be confirmed at a later date.
The lecture is supported by the Embassy of Ireland and hosted by the Department of History at the Faculty of Arts of the University in Ljubljana.
Robert Gerwath is the author of several books on the history of violence in twentieth-century Europe, most recently The Vanquished: Why the First World War Failed to End, 1917-23.
